Infertility caused by low sperm count or motility, poor cervical mucus, low semen volume, anti-sperm antibodies, mild endometriosis, or unexplained infertility can be treated by intrauterine insemination or iui treatment. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that IUI dramatically increases the probability of pregnancy in women who receive donor insemination using frozen sperm samples.
When you’re ovulating, IUI works by injecting sperms straight into your uterus, which brings the sperm and egg closer together. By reducing the time and distance, this procedure makes fertilization of egg and sperm easier.
You may need to take ovulation-stimulating fertility medications before the insemination operation to increase the chances of pregnancy further.
